Run the Line
2:21:05!! I am OFFICIALLY a half-marathon FINISHER!

Thanks to all of your for the encouragement last night!  Surprisingly, I woke up this morning with no nerves.  I’ll post a more comprehensive recap once I get some of the pictures my mom and dad took (they were such awesome spectators).

As for my time, I finished WAY ahead of what I thought my pace would be (due to the lack of consistent training the past couple weeks due to my pseudo-injuries).  I ended with 2:21:05 as my official chip time, a negative split (!!) and an average pace of 10:47 per mile.

My Garmin Stats:

  • Total Distance: 13.37 mi
  • Total Time: 2:24:31 (I forgot to switch off my Garmin right away!)
  • Mile 1: 11:08 mi/min
  • Mile 2: 10:53
  • Mile 3: 10:52
  • Mile 4: 10:39
  • Mile 5: 10:47
  • Mile 6: 11:19
  • Mile 7: 10:53
  • Mile 8: 10:19
  • Mile 9: 10:07
  • Mile 10: 10:44
  • Mile 11: 10:16
  • Mile 12: 10:33
  • Mile 13: 10:16
  • .37 of mile: 16:16 (with a sprint for that last .1 of a mile and some walking)

Thanks again everyone for your encouragement along the way!!
