I haven’t worked out for 6 days.
Whew, glad that’s out there. The first stage of recovery is admitting there’s a problem right? So I admitted it; I haven’t worked out for 6 days.
At first, it was a conscious decision. My last workout was on Monday, and I worked my legs a bit too hard through some strength training. Tuesday, I was sore, but Wednesday I was SORE! I decided that since I was still in “recovery” from my half, I could take a couple days off.
However, Thursday came and went, and so did Friday and today. It’s not that I was busy; in fact, I was the opposite. I’ve had too much time on my hands! And when that happens, my luxurious free time turns into a black hole of time. Seriously folks, when you’ve been surfing the web and suddenly you realize that you’ve wasted 3 hours doing nothing, it is time to get off your butt and do something!
So tonight, I wanted to blow off another workout. Instead, I used all that hot air to blow up my exercise ball that I just bought at Target, and did some of abs and my rehab exercises while watching TV. While it’s not a 6 mile run, it’s something, right?!
